Help with your purchase

It's not easy. All you want is a battery for your mobile. They don't stock the phone for your battery in the shops anymore, you go online and there are 100 pages of online stores all telling you that they are cheaper, better, quicker and faster.

We are the online specialists and we do not mislead you in your purchase. Below we provide some help to you in making your decision. We hope you purchase from us but if you don't then at least we have helped you to break through the jargon.

Genuine, Original & Replacement

So what are these companies talking about?

If you see "Original Nokia ...." etc then the company are telling you that this is actually manufactered and supplied on behalf of Nokia. On certain auction sites the descriptions will tell you it's "New, original...." and then sell you a battery for £5.00. Unless you are the luckiest kid on the block this is not a genuine product.

Be careful when you see Genuine that it stipulates original battery if this is what you are after. Sites quoting "Genuine replacement..." is basically not misleading but it is not an "original" product it is a genuine replacement.

Replacement batteries are good quality batteries. You should always check that the batteries are CE approved.

What is this mAh?

Ok so 500 mAh means tha the battery can produce 500 milliamps in one hour. Are you wiser?

To most of us the millamp-hour specification is not going to affect our lives. If you are contstantly using your phone for business you will notice the battery life a lot more than if you just use your phone socially.

All batteries that you purchase will all provide you with sufficient life. If you need batteries to last for 3-4 days then check you get the highest mAh batteries available (usually 900 - 1200 mAh). We always provide a battery between 600 and 900 mAh.

In the majority of cases that replacement batteries ara a higher mAh than you had in your phone when you purchased it. If you are unsure always give the seller a ring and put your mind at rest.

Can't find the battery for your phone?

New designs means new model numbers for mobile phones but does not always mean a new battery. Often the manufacturer i.e. Motorola will produce a new phone that utilises a battery from an earlier version of the phone.

Like other online shops we try to ensure that all phones covered by the battery are shown on our site but occasionally we do miss some. We do sell nearly all batteries produced for the UK market in the last 10 years so if you do not see the battery you require please contact us. It will usually be the same price and we will give you a prompt response if we cannot get it for you
