    A modular DC bus bar, with locations for four DC fuses. It will monitor the status of each fuse, and indicate its condition with a LED on the front. Part of the modular Lynx distribution system.   Contains a positive and negative bus-bar and provides a connection for 4 individual DC equipment circuits, loads or DC groups. It has a space for individual DC fuses per DC group. There is an optional feature of an LED for each fuse to indicate if fuse is blown. If you wish to use the fuse indication LEDs on the Lynx Distributor, it also requires a connection to a Lynx Shunt. The Lynx Shunt contains the necessary wide input (8 to 70VDC) power supply to output the required 5V (4,5V-5,5V) power requirement of the Lynx Distributor circuit board. RJ11 fly leads are used to connect the Lynx Shunt to the Distributor. This RJ11 cable is supplied with the Distributor in the box. There are two ports on the Lynx Shunt, and it is possible to use either. The Smart BMS CL 12/100 is a Battery Management system for Victron lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) Smart Batteries. It has been specifically designed for 12V systems with a 12V alternator. The BMS CL 12/100 monitors and protects each individual battery cell within the battery (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charge sources or DC loads in case of low battery voltage, high battery voltage or over temperature. The dedicated alternator input provides current limiting and one-way traffic from the alternator into the battery, this so any size alternator (and start battery) can be safely connected to the Smart Lithium battery or batteries. The BMS is also equipped with a remote on off connector, to turn the BMS (and the system) off via a remote switch, and a pre-alarm contact, to give a warning signal before the BMS will disconnect the batteries from the system.   Features Battery Management system The BMS connects to 12,8V Victron LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries. Up to 5 batteries may be connected in parallel. Can be used as a system on/off switch. Alternator and battery protection The input current is electronically limited to approximately 90% of the fuse rating. A 100A fuse, for example, will therefore limit the input current to approximately 90A. Choosing the right fuse will: a.   Similarly to diode battery isolators, FET isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator (or a single output battery charger), without connecting the batteries together. Discharging the accessory battery for example will not result in also discharging the starter battery.   In contrast with diode battery isolators, FET isolators have virtually no voltage loss. Voltage drop is less than 0,02 Volt at low current and averages 0,1 Volt at higher currents.   When using ARGO FET Battery Isolators, there is no need to also increase the output voltage of the alternator. Care should taken however to keep cable lengths short and of sufficient cross section.   Example: When a current of 100 A flows through a cable of 50 mm2 cross section (AWG 0) and 10 m length (30 ft), the voltage drop over the cable will be 0,26 Volt. Similarly a current of 50 A through a cable of 10 mm2 cross section (AWG 7) and 5 m length (15 ft) will result in a voltage drop of 0,35 Volt!   Alternator energize input Some alternators need DC voltage on the B+ output to start charging. Obviously, DC will be present when the alternator is directly connected to a battery. Inserting a Diode or FET splitter will however prevent any return voltage/current from the batteries to the B+, and the alternator will not start. The new Argofet isolators have a special current limited energize input that will power the B+ when the engine run/stop switch is closed. The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine. The BatteryProtect is not designed for reverse currents from charging sources.   Features 12/24V auto ranging The BatteryProtect automatically detects system voltage.  The Battery Balancer equalizes the state of charge of two series connected 12V batteries, or of several parallel strings of series connected batteries. When the charge voltage of a 24V battery system increases to more than 27V, the Battery Balancer will turn on and compare the voltage over the two series connected batteries.
